After initially planning an interior build-out in an existing pre-engineered metal building for Dr. Shaw, we adapted quickly when the land contract fell through—designing and constructing a new ground-up facility tailored to his needs. The building features concrete block exterior walls and a metal bar joist structure, thoughtfully designed to comply with local ordinances while delivering an attractive and functional veterinary clinic.

Inside, the clinic includes eight exam rooms, such as a specialized acupuncture and comfort room for grieving pet owners with private exterior access, and a versatile exam room that doubles as a breeding suite with its own entrance. The front reception offers separate waiting areas for cats and dogs, enhancing patient comfort. Additional spaces include a dedicated dental suite, distinct cat and dog ward rooms, a mid-sized isolation room, and a large, open treatment area.

To support animal care beyond the building, the facility incorporates a fenced outdoor area for dog walking and a large animal exam room at the rear, connected to a secure drop-off and pick-up zone—completing a comprehensive, purpose-built veterinary clinic.
